In a spell of integration, joy and rest we bring you a weekend of dance, music, workshops, food, drinks, talks, merriment and sanctuary in one of the most bless-ed corners of Norfolk, the tiny village of Castle Acre, with it’s crystal chalk stream, meadows, ruined monastery and castle, barn owls and prehistoric Pedders Way. In the historic 16th century coaching inn, The Ostrich

This bless-ed little corner is bless-ed for a reason, check your pilgrimage to us below and don’t tell too many people about it :)
We’re not running these services, but the Swaffam Taxi guy knows we’re happening and is ready to ferry us all around - get in there quick to bag your spot if that’s what you need.
By Train
The nearest train station is Kings Lynn. 1hr 44 mins from London Kings Cross. 34 mins from Ely Rail Station. 53 mins from Cambridge Rail Station.
From Kings Lynn rail station it is a 55 min bus ride (see below) or a £25 minute taxi (around £25-30), taxi numbers below if there aren’t any waiting at the station. A good idea to book ahead.

From Kings Lynn approx 55 mins
Saturday 16 May there is a 11:12 AM, A excel, changing at Swaffham to the 32 from Kings Lynn Station that brings you Castle Acre by 12:05 PM. And the same at 1:42PM, bringing you in at 14:45.
Sunday 17 May the 11:12 AM also runs as above.
If you need to return to Kings Lynn on Saturday or Sunday see taxis and do try and share with others at Etiges. On Monday 18 May there is a 7:27AM, 9:28AMand 12:40PM, 32 bus from outside Budgens Castle Acre, all changing at Swaffam, Kings Arms stop, returning you to Kings Lynn Rail Station.
From Norwich approx 2 hrs
Buses from Norwich leave from Norwich Bus Station. There is a change or two on the way.
Saturday 16 May there is a 10:10 arriving at 12:05, a 12:40 arriving at 14:42 and a 16:10 arriving. Or yo can travel on
Friday 15 May at 16:10 or 12:40.
Sunday 17 May there is no buses from Norwich. They begin again Monday with with the 7:26 AM Monday 18 May, and run at 9:27 AM and 12:39PM.

Nearby accommodation to Etiges @ The Ostrich

Easiest by bike (20 mins cycle) or car (10 mins drive) or 1hr 45 mins on foot if you fancy adding pilgriming to your Etiges weekend is Abby Farm, who have five camping pitches for £15 per night, a fishing pond, kitchen, campfires, and some hook ups for vans /motor homes.
For vans and motor homes, Narborough Fisheries is 4.5 miles away who have pitches at £38 per night (and fishing available too).

In Castle Acre itself, the one other inn in the village offers The Pig Shed Motel with double and twin rooms and little houses at around £100 per night.
There’s 8 or so Airbnb options in Castle Acre too, you’ll have to have an Airbnb account.
And Hill Farm B & B is in the very pretty nearby village of Little Massingham (12 mins drive, 38 mins cycle ).
There are also plenty of options in nearby Swaffham and Kings Lynn. You can find out how to get to us from there in the travel section :)
